Now to the Story ……………

She isn’t sure of the year, but Helen Kron will never forget the fires that kept spreading for what seemed like weeks. She knew full well that she should not have gotten herself in this situation. But when her son—who had been visiting her in Indiana—invited her to come back with him to Florida for awhile, she decided to go. Surely the fires she had been reading about would be out by then. And her son drove a large and sturdy van. They would be fine.

They were, for the first day. But as they got closer to Florida, Helen saw the smoke wafting through what was usually a bright path. Then as miles passed, she started to see the flames. “I was very concerned about these fires along both sides of the road,” Helen says. “From time to time the wind would pick up some burning item and blow it across the street. That piece would start something else burning.” Helen fell ….. read the rest of the story here ……

Two Positive Things On Tuesday

Top sites Tuesday Think Positive

Lean on me

By Michael Bolton

This song is about friends and how we need to lean on each other in the good times and the bad times. So my second good thing to talk about is what happened today which will be yesterday by the time you read this.

Today I called a dear friend Karen that I had been thinking about for a long time. Every time I thought about calling before it was either too late to call or to early so I put it off until today. Karen and I have been best friends since High School keeping in touch over the years either on the phone or visiting each other. I am convinced Karen is my spiritual sister, even though we have not talked in a long time we just pick up where we left off and it is wonderful! We talked for hours about everything just like we have always done before. She is amazing always knowing what I need to hear, giving me the courage to go for what I want. I felt so much better after the call. I could accomplish anything! There is nothing better that a good friend, nothing! Thank you Karen for being my friend and my spiritual sister! I love you dearly just as if you were my real sister.

We all need our friends so don’t ever forget them. Try to keep in touch and reach out to them when you need to. Most of all don’t forget to tell them how much they mean to you.

To all of my dear friends that I have met online thank you for being my friends. I love each of you and have a special place in my heart just for you.

Love and Blessings,
AngelBaby

I am Your Angel

Posted by AngelBaby on July 19, 2009

by Celine Dion and R. Kelly

This song is so beautiful and one of my favorites. An Earth Angel is a human being that is there when you need them. They may be someone you don’t know that gives you the information that you need at that moment. Someone you know or have never seen before could help you out at a time when you are desperate. It may be someone that gives you a smile when you are feeling down. Anyone that helps you grow is an Earth Angel. Earth Angels are everywhere, we walk among them everyday. Have you ever experience an Earth Angel? Have you ever been someones Earth Angel? We all can be Earth Angels at one time or another so be careful how you treat others they may be your Earth Angel.

Have you ever been touch by an Angel? Do you have a story about an encounter with an Angel? Share it here, I would love to hear your story.

Love and Blessings,
AngelBaby

A bad day at the office

Posted by AngelBaby on July 17, 2009

Oil Rig

Rob is a commercial saturation diver for Global Divers in Louisiana. He performs underwater repairs on offshore drilling rigs. Below is an E-mail he sent to his sister. She then sent it to radio station 103.2 FM in Ft. Wayne Indiana , who was sponsoring a worst job experience contest. Needless to say, she won.

Hi Marilyn:

Just another note from your bottom-dwelling brother. Last week I had a bad day at the office. I know you’ve been feeling down lately at work, so I thought I would share my dilemma with you to make you realize it’s not so bad after all. Before I can tell you what happened to me, I first must bore you with a few technicalities of my job.

As you know, my office lies at the bottom of the sea. I wear a suit to the office. It’s a wet suit. This time of year the water is quite cool. So what we do to keep warm is this: We have a diesel powered industrial water heater. This $20,000 piece of equipment sucks the water out of the sea. It heats it to a delightful temperature. It then pumps it down to the diver through a garden hose, which is taped to the air hose. Now this sounds like a darn good plan, and I’ve used it several times with no complaints.

What I do, when I get to the bottom and start working, is take the hose and stuff it down the back of my wet suit. This floods my whole suit with warm water. It’s like working in a Jacuzzi.

Everything was going well until all of a sudden, my butt started to itch. So, of course, I scratched it. This only made things worse. With in a few seconds my butt started to burn. I pulled the hose out from my back, but the damage was done. In agony I realized what had happened.

The hot water machine had sucked up a jellyfish and pumped it into my suit. Now, since I don’t have any hair on my back, the jellyfish couldn’t stick to it. However, the crack of my butt was not as fortunate. When I scratched what I thought was an itch, I was actually grinding the jellyfish into the crack of my butt.

I informed the dive supervisor of my dilemma over the communicator. His instructions were unclear due to the fact that he, along with five other divers, were all laughing hysterically.

Needless to say I aborted the dive. I was instructed to make three agonizing in-water decompression stops totaling thirty-five minutes before I could reach the surface to begin my chamber dry decompression.

When I arrived at the surface, I was wearing nothing but my brass helmet. As I climbed out of the water, the medic, with tears of laughter running down his face, handed me a tube of cream and told me to rub it on my butt as soon as I got in the chamber. The cream put the fire out, but I couldn’t poop for two days because my butt was swollen shut.

So, next time you’re having a bad day at work, think about how much worse it would be if you had a jellyfish shoved up your butt. Now repeat to yourself, ‘I love my job, I love my job, I love my job.’

Now whenever you have a bad day, ask yourself, is this a jellyfish bad day?

May you NEVER have a jellyfish bad day!!!!!

Love and Blessings,
AngelBaby
