I think it is so important that we take a stand against the Oil Companies to stop drilling more wells offshore. Enough is enough! They have no idea how to clean up the mess in the Gulf and they want to drill more wells even deeper, I say no more! The horror of what they have done to our environment is unbelievable! How could anyone be so stupid that they did not follow the safety requirements and when it started falling apart they kept going instead of stopping it before it exploded! Hummmm …… doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. The rubber from the seals started bubbling up to the surface and they kept going. I can’t believe that they did not see this coming when some of the alarms went off. What were they thinking? Well this is what happened next …………..
Now, where oh where do you think the oil will go? It will probably end up at Europe’s door. BP and the government have no idea where to begin on this mess let alone clean it up! This mess is going to destroy so much of our wild life, fish and everything else in it path. Remember this well was one mile below the surface so it will flow along the deep water currents as well as everywhere else. How can they possibly clean this up or even stop the gushing of oil from the broken well. I don’t believe anyone has any idea how to clean up this mess or how to stop the flow of oil. Why would anyone drill a well so far below the surface knowing their is no way to clean up any spills and then NOT use the safest products to build the well? They skimped on the products they were going to use because it was to expensive so they used the cheaper ones the were not safe for what they were building! Can you believe this stupidity, I can’t even fathom what in the world was going through their minds! Actually I do have a pretty good idea – GREED! They should be held accountable for their actions and not following the laws! Some more food for thought – did you know that they are drilling one right now that is even deeper? What will happen if that one blows up too? Look at the picture below (Tell me how in the world are they going to clean this one up or the next one -how?) and you will see how far and wide this oil mess will go ………….
Now there is a Hurricane on it’s way to the Gulf of Mexico and they have to stop cleaning up the oil because the waves are to big and it is too dangerous. So now the oil is going to be polluting our oceans and land unabated. How far will it go? When will BP get it cleaned up? Something needs to be done to stop this mess.
I am so sick and tired of hearing that we need to get ride of OUR ADDICTION TO OIL. PLEASE, I AM NOT ADDICTED TO OIL, THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO USE! We need to find alternative fuel for all of our cars so we don’t need the oil companies anymore. I vote for the electric car! We need it back. I want all different solutions so we can choose what is best for us, not have just one thing that is the only one available, I want to have choices. If we can go to the moon, we should be able to find alternatives to oil and gas! Enough is enough, it is time for a change – now!

Look at this – I found this on YouTube. It is raining oil in Louisiana, they had a heavy rain there and in the rain there was oil. This is horrible. How are we going to clean this up?

“Two Thoughts On Tuesday”
My first thought is ………. why do I work where I do? Most people would be very surprise to find out what I do for a living, especially after they read my blog. Well, I work in a Casino. My job has several interesting titles so I will tell you I work for the company that banks the tables, I am not a dealer. I just sit there with all the money to pay off the winners and collect the money from the people that loose. Before I had this job I had never sat at a card game in any Casino, not ever! So I was in a state of what am I doing here for the first month that I did this. Yes, I do know all of the card games very well so you want to play some cards with me? I have seen everything you can imagine at the Casino’s I have worked at. People have lost everything they have to gambling, it is so sad to see, they just can’t stop. I have witness family members coming into the Casio trying to get a loved one to come home and stop gambling. People have committed suicide over the losses they have had from gambling, which is just horrible. Yet, they still come to gamble because they are addicted to it. People have come to me about their addiction to gambling and have told me how they have tried to stop and how their families don’t know what to do. Sometimes a family member will the unthinkable and kill the loved one that will not stop loosing everything they have to gambling. I don’t ask any questions any more because it makes it to difficult to do my job so I try not to get too involved. This is truly the hardest part of my job to deal with because it breaks my heart to see this side of gambling.
Then their are the people that come in just to have a little fun and gamble. These people are so much fun to have on my table, we laugh and joke around the whole time they are there and everyone has a marvelous time. The only problem is that one of them has won a lot and becomes addicted to gambling. Then they come back the next week to try again and they loose, they look at me and say “what happened I did so well last week?” I say “beginners luck”, they always win the first time and come back for more because it is such a high when they win. One thing I have to remember is without the gamblers I would no have a job. I have learned to just have fun and leave the rest at work. So remember go ahead and gamble just do not become addicted, keep it fun instead and only bring what you can afford to loose and no more.
I have always wondered why I ended up doing this job, which I do enjoy a lot. I have come to realize that I do help a lot of people everyday with their problems and life in general. Today I spent quite a bit of time talking to one of the people that work at the Casino about life, he felt so much better after talking to me and so did the others that could hear us talking. This happens everyday because there is always someone with a problem that needs to talk. They trust me because I will not repeat anything they say to me. I do check back with them to see how they are doing and if things are improving in their lives so it makes them feel better just knowing that I do care. That is why I am working in a Casino, so many need my help and I am there to help them.
My second thought is ………… I do love my job, after all where can you play all day and get paid for it? I meet people from all over the world and get to know about their country and their culture. It is so interesting to me, I love the differences in everyone. What is so amazing to me is why we have wars because we all want to the same things in life. Most want a better life for their family, a nice place to live that is safe, a good education for their children, to be able to practice their chosen religion and to have freedom to be themselves. So why do we have wars, knowing this we should all get along and help others achieve their goals. I don’t understand why we can not accomplish this. Yes, every culture is different but it is almost always basically the same with a different twist on things. Why can’t we accept each other for who we are? Why can’t we all get along?
How are your relationships today? Are they good for you? This means do they feel good or not? If you are in a relationship that is not good for you then you need to change it. Any relationship you have that is always bringing you down is not good for you. Whether it is the work you are doing or a relationship with a friend or a romantic relationship with your partner, wife or husband. It has nothing to do with whether or not the other person is good or bad – right or wrong, it just is not good for you. So do not look at it for who is right or wrong – good or bad in the situation look to see if it is good for you. Do not feel bad if it is not working for you. What do you need for yourself? Do you need to stay or go? If you ask us for our help and guidance we will help you find out what is best for you. So ask us we are here to help you get through changing the relationship to make it better or if you need to leave it. Call on us we will come to you immediately with great love and comfort. We will give you gentle guidance to help you. Know that we love you and want to help so call on us. We are listening ………..
I totally agree with this sign so if you want to meet Jesus just keep texting while you are driving! Have you ever been driving behind someone that is texting? They swerve all over the road, drive really slow and they think no one notices. Well, people do notice and we don’t want to get into an accident so please stop texting. It is so dangerous, I really wish people would not text and drive. What do you think?

“Two Thoughts On Tuesday”
My first thought is ………….. I have my lap top fixed so now Old Faithful gets a break. Yes, that’s right I finally had some time to take my lap top to the doctor (the Geek Squad) and they fixed it. The problem was that it got stuck in between sleep and awake, I think that is called being in a coma! They brought it back to life again – really quick too. I am not sure how they did this but they are the best. I found them at Best Buy. They told me to take out my battery and then put it back in next time and that would work. Now I never thought of doing that! I am so happy to have my lap top back, it is just wonderful. By the way they did not even charge me for fixing my lap top, soooooo cooool!
My second thought is ……………… When I took my lap top in my wonderful Granddaughter was with me and we had so much fun. She helped me get all of my errands done. Do you think she was so willing to do this just so she could drive my car? She does love driving it. When we took it to get the oil changed she told the guys there that it was her car! She tells everyone that all the time. She was asking them all kinds of questions about the job they did, like did you check the engine? (It was an oil change!) How was the oil? When can we get the Air Filter? (they were out of them and I needed a new one) It was so cute to listen to her. Of course I did mention that it is my car and she quickly said no it is mine! I told her she is dreaming and I love her fantasy life! My granddaughter is so delightful and I do enjoy her company where ever we go. We laugh a lot and have so much fun together, she is a joy. She wants my car so bad. I told her I am not letting it go, after all I just made the last payment so now it is all mine! Yes, that’s right my car is all mine now! Yippy! Yippy! Hallelujah! No more car payments! Can you tell I am happy about this? Well, I do have to go get ready for work now so I hope everyone has a marvelous day!
