All About Angels

One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books. I thought to myself, “Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday? He must really be a nerd.”

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.  As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt.  His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.  He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes.  My heart went out to him.  So, I jogged over to him as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.

As I handed him his glasses, I said, “Those guys are jerks. They really should get lives.”  He looked at me and said, “Hey thanks!” There was a big smile on his face. It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude. I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived.  Read More ……………..

I love this story it shows us how important it is to treat others with love and respect. How will you choose to treat someone who needs a little help or kindness? What will you do?

  1. RennyBA Said,

A readable, nice and thoughtful story! I think the most important thing is to care and show others they are seen.. I would do the same as you: meet them where they are in their mindset and let them open up while being a good listener.

Btw: Glad you like Norway and how I treat Olga The Traveling Bra 🙂

  2. AngelBaby Said,

Oh, you are just the sweetest person. Listening is one of the best things you can do for someone. When you let them open up then you can help them.

I love the way you treat Olga the Traveling Bra. 😀

  5. Liz Said,

As I read the story on friendship I was moved to tears.
What a story and so important that we do not judge
people by what we see on the outside. Everyone is speical very speical in their
    own way
    Thank you Angelbaby

  6. AngelBaby Said,

I love this story, it is so beautiful. I was moved to tears the first time I read it too. The most beautiful part is that the boy did not look at the outside, just the inside. He could see the beauty of the other boys spirit and knew he was special. We all need to remember to do this with everyone we meet and if we do the world would be a better place.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Love and Blessings,
