I have had many people tell me that we have no culture here in America but they do in their country. I know we have culture here and I love this country just the way it is. I love having the freedom to say what I think and so does everyone else. Christmas is part of our culture I do not want to give up. It is one of my favorite holidays we celebrate. Others can celebrate their beliefs too but this is my country and our tradition is Christmas. Everyone else can celebrate what ever they believe in, that is fine with me.

This freedom thing runs deep in my family we were part of the pioneers that settled this country. Some of our best friends were Patrick Henry, Benjamin Franklin and all the rest of them. So the way this country came about runs through everyone in my family and believe me it is very strong. We love our freedom and our traditions. I think when people come to this country they should learn about our culture so they can enjoy it too. Celebrating with us instead of trying to change it to the way they want it to be.

So Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night …………..

  1. Cheryl P. Said,

Our country is so unique in the sense we are a melting pot of so many ethnic groups and various nationalities that there are TONS of different customs and cultures. I think people that live in areas where there is less diversity are confused by this. We may not have just one way of doing things but that is one of the reasons the Holidays are so fun. The mix of everyones traditions blended together make it special and bonding.

If I don’t catch up with you next week…Have a Merry Christmas!

  2. AngelBaby Said,

I agree and we should all enjoy everyone’s differences which is the best part of our country. I do not want our traditions lost in everyones else s that is all.

    Love and Blessings,

  3. Liggy Said,

I agree with Cheryl…we DO have such a variety of different cultures in America that we have a unique society. And I think it makes celebrations here so much more fun. It’s especially more fun when you get to go and experience these different ways of celebrating the same occasion/holiday with the various ethnic groups. It’s both a learning experience and an enjoyment experience.

Have a very Merry Christmas!!! (Click!)

Hi. I am from England, British born and bred. I have visited the States a few times over the past few years. I think the country has undoutedly an extremely rich culture. America is very unique given the immense diversity of different nationalities and ethnicty of the people tht make up it’s population. I personally love America and adore a lot of the lifestyle it offers. I like American people, I find them on the whole, educated, courteous ,and extrmely positive in their overall outook.

  7. AngelBaby Said,

I agree with all of you the mix of different cultures here is amazing and it is wonderful to learn about each one. I love all of the different celebrations and go to as many as I can. I just want us to remember our traditions that we have created here as well as all the new ones.

    Love and Blessings,
